a GRAHAM EZZY portrait

umi pictures caught the inside line for an exclusive portrait of a Prince of Windsurfing Royalty. With candid insight from Aristocracy such as Levi Siver and Mark Angulo, it's a story worth telling, but the journey to the land of his birth wasn't without it's hitches...as Graham Ezzy himself explains

RAIN
The downpour was incessant. Biblical almost. Even at noon, dark clouds covered the sky, reducing the sun's strength to dusk levels. Cameraman Brendan, founder of umi, was at my house in Haiku lying in bed ill with a rampant temperature.

Upstairs I'd just read about the death of Andy Irons. I knew I had to tell Brendan that one of our surfing heroes had passed away, but should choose my words wisely since he'd been bed-bound and sweating for days - and AI had just died of Dengue Fever.
