The sail360

Text and Pics: Christian Goebel/FYM Productions

The sail 360 was one of the original and best moves ever invented. As old skool as it might be, think 70s, this is a cool trick to have dialed – especially in the planing environment. It’s relatively easy to learn and will teach you sail control for those duck gybes and more modern clew-first manoeuvres you'll master later.

The best conditions for learning the Sail 360 are smooth, flat water, small chop or in rolling un-breaking swell.  Best sail size is between 4.5 and 7.0 on almost any Freeride, Freestyle, Wave or Wave/Freestyle board.
