The Grubby is one of the most basic sliding new skool tricks around. It’s one of the best moves to learn when first starting out with modern moves. Apart from that, it just looks super smooth and stylish! However it’s by no means easy, so get to your battle stations and start practising!

The best conditions for learning the Grubby are smooth, flat water or small chop.  Best sail size is between 4.5 and 6.0 on a Freestyle, Wave Freestyle or smaller Freeride board – preferably with a single fin as you start.
