Our Trip

For the past couple of years I have been traveling with Ma Fele, one of the best Filipino female windsurfers and kitesurfers. Fele is an awesome girl, who can handle any type of travelling conditions. She now owns and operate a windsurf/kitesurf resort on the beautiful shores of Boracay Island in the Philippines. The Windriders Inn. During her off-season, she travels and assists me with my work as my personal photographer. But on a trip like this one, it's pretty hard to keep her with a camera in her hand, but to shoot freeride footage in a beautiful tropical setting, plus she's way more photogenic than me in a bikini anyway. She did film my wavesailing sessions, and anyway to make a video of this place is not very hard considering that anytime you turn on the camera anything that you point it at looks amazing.

Nicolas took great care of us from the first day to the last of our 2 weeks stay. He also took us around Diego Suarez and showed us that there is more to see on a Madagascar trip than just his beautiful remote resort. Diego is a cultural city to visit, the Bazaar (market place) is a site to see, and many day trips can be organized form there to see the countryside, such as hikes through the Amber Mountain National Park. After staying at the secluded lodge for 10 days, it was nice to go party a little, and for that Diego Suarez is the place to be.

This was a great trip, a truly unique place. I definitely recommend the Babaomby Island Lodge as a perfect windsurfing destination.
