Fanatic Swoop for Emerging Freestyle Talent Max Rowe K-448

Tuesday 11th January, 2011 - 4:53pm

Got this PR from Fanatic:

We are glad to announce to have young UK Freestyler Max Rowe (K-448) on the Fanatic team!

Max Rowe: "I´m very happy to be in the Fanatic Team. I got into windsurfing at the age of thirteen, my dad had always been a very keen windsurfer so he was always keen for me to follow in his footsteps.

From the age of sixteen I was hooked after being introduced to freestyle windsurfing by my friends and since then it has been my dream to become a professional windsurfer and get more people into the sport.

After I had finished my A-levels and figured out that university was not for me at that point in my life I started my career in windsurfing by training as an instructor. Since then I have been teaching all over the world for Club Vass in Greece, Egypt and Venezuela, hopefully training together with my new team mate the Freestyle World Champ Gollito Estredo now!"

Nik Baker, Fanatic UK: "Max has big talent in Freestyle, but also in waves and I´m really glad to welcome him to our team. He finished 2nd in the UK Freestyle Championships 2010 and 11th at the PWA Freestyle on Fuerteventura - more to come!"

Here's Max's Fanatic Bio and PWA Profile. He ranked 21st in Freestyle in his Rookie year - not bad!
