1. Take the back foot out of the strap, and leave the front one loose in the strap.  Before take off carve a little into the wind.
2. Hold with a wide grip on the boom. On a little chop push the tail down hard for lift off.
3. Flick the tail out towards the wind in a motion a bit like a skateboard 'shuvit', while pulling yourself up on the boom - be sure to keep your weight over the board - not leaning back like an old-skool aerial jibe.
4. As the board starts rotating pull the front foot out of the strap. In mid-air keep your knees pulled up towards your chest.
5. Prepare to land with one foot on the nose and the other up in front of the mast track.  To keep in control on landing, apply approx. 75% of your weight on the back foot that’s now standing on the nose.
6. To make sure the board doesn’t carve into the wind push a downwind a bit with the front leg.
7. From here you can advance into a variety of finishes, such as spinning the board back around, twisting board and rig around or simply flip the rig and or make it into a backwards-sliding Aerial Jibe!
Summary
Take off into the wind, remove your back foot, pop the tail with a wide grip on boom. Kick board out into wind. Stay over board and project forward. Keep weight mostly on back foot and nose to land and control.
