Jules Denel FRA-41

France's 21-yr old all-rounder is one of the sport's most exciting emerging talents. With so many riders specialising in single disciplines, it's rare to see a genuinely versatile competitor making an impact across the world tour. Brian McDowell finds out how home nation support, pancakes, double forwards and an up-and-coming younger brother are the best motivations for pushing your limits... All Pics JC/PWA

Recently announced as 2011 Vice PWA Youth World Slalom Champion at Sylt, and Vice PWA Youth World Champion in Waves, Denel's just signed-off from an impressive competitive season. A 5th place at the IFCA Slalom Worlds in Holland, a top-30 finish on the PWA Slalom series, from attending just 4 events, and a year-end PWA Wave Tour Ranking of 13th make him an exciting future prospect to follow.
