1-2. Take-off and pop the nose up and down as you would a Vulcan with the front hand all the way up the boom by the mast and the body in a compact stance. Keep good forward speed and go downwind before take-off. You can help initiate the rotation past 90 degrees by twisting your hips and turning your shoulders to look back from where you came. Keep your back leg tucked up under your body to help the nose tap the water first and avoid the fin and rail catching when you land.
3-4. Pull the boom fast and close across your body keeping your weight forwards. It is best to switch sides boom-to-boom, but you can place your new front hand by the mast. Keep your weight centred over the board.
5. The nose is down now and the board is starting to pivot and slide.
6. Look over your rear shoulder in order to draw the rig across the body. Shift your weight to the heel side, so the board can complete the sliding rotation slide without the rail catching.
7. Keep the front arm extended and lean into it as you keep your backhand pulled in.
8. The fin will start to engage as you go through the wind and your rig is ready to be flipped.
9-11. Heli-tack time; Keep your weight forward as you lean into the sail and flip it round. Grab the boom on the new side and sail away stoked. LP
