1. Bear off a tiny bit and get into switch stance and sheet the sail out slightly
2.
Bring the rig across you and keep the board flat through front foot pressure
3. Carve upwind and throw the sail directly at the wind, mainly using the front arm
4 & 5. Cross your front hand over to the back of the boom to pull the sail back aggressively. Keep the board carving through the wind as you throw the sail. Front foot pressure will give you a smooth carve with a flat board
6. The sail should fly over the water held up by the wind, enabling you to get hold of the boom on the other side. Keep applying rail pressure to continue carving into the wind
7. Keep the rig back pushing with your backhand and start transferring more pressure to your back leg
8. With the last bit of speed pivot through the wind with lots of back foot pressure
9. Once you reach the new tack drop back to power up the sail
10. Sheet in and sail away
